Planning for Resilient Shores

Join Huron Pines and the Michigan Association of Planning to bring together local elected officials, municipal staff, tribal representatives and community leaders to strengthen local stewardship and planning coordination for our lakes and shorelines. Participants will learn about planning tools and approaches that specifically improve shoreline protection. Using Tawas Lake as an example and case study of how ecological and cultural values shape decision-making, presenters will share practical tools and collaborative strategies that can be utilized in any community looking to support healthy, resilient shores.
