Requirements
The minimum requirements for the position include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in urban/land use planning, architecture, engineering, public administration or related field. A minimum of three years’ experience in planning or community and economic development. A strong knowledge base of law and funding sources for economic development/redevelopment. Excellent written and oral language, and organizational skills necessary; experience with GIS and BS&A software preferred.

In cooperation with local jurisdictions and transit providers, identifies transit needs and priorities. - Have had at least four (4) years of full-time, progressively responsible work experience in transit planning, city, county or regional planning, private consulting planning, or other closely related professional planning experience.
- Possess a professional license, registration, or certification from a recognized licensing agency as an engineer, architect, landscape architect, planner, GIS professional or closely related profession.
NOTE: A Master’s Degree in one of the fields listed in section 1 above may be substituted for one year of the required work experience in section 2.
